What we cover today
Every report is only as good as its sources, so we publish coverage honestly instead of implying everything is covered everywhere. Centres, demographics, fees, and demand data are national. Development application coverage is built council by council.
Short answer
Child Care Demand reports show whether DA coverage is live, audited empty, blocked, or still being enriched, so a missing pipeline result is never presented as proof that no future supply exists.

Demand
Child Care Subsidy enrolment data by SA3, updated quarterly, weighted into each drive-time catchment. National.
Fees
Published daily fees aggregated per catchment where providers publish them; each report shows how many centres priced. National where published.

Statewide discovery is live through the official NSW Planning Portal APIs (OnlineDA and OnlineCDC), covering every addressable NSW council area at report time. Childcare place counts come only from matching official planning applications or documents. Rows without a published count show an audited blocker state instead of a guess. The council scrapers listed below add direct register evidence on top.

The official current Development Assessment Panel register is connected as a statewide subset. Ordinary council applications are still incomplete, so every WA locality remains marked for enrichment or a council scraper.
Connected council DA registers are refreshed on schedule; each report shows the source state and flags delays instead of quietly presenting stale data. South Australia shows only PlanSA records from the current audited batch, and every record is hidden again while a new refresh is audited. Tasmania is listed with its audited non-live source and locality ledger, and Northern Territory proposals without verified place evidence remain under review. Western Australia now has an official DAP subset, but ordinary council coverage is incomplete. Reports state each DA limitation directly.
